SHUT 'EM DOWN 28-4 SHUT 'EM DOWN X THE NATURAL
|
This is a terrible picture of an exceptional boar.
He was a private treaty purchase from John
Graber a few years ago. He was young when we
bought him and has been on a simple
commercial feed since we brought him home, so
he hasn't really gotten what he needs to keep the
muscle he had in the beginning. However, if we
had taken pictures of him at 250 lbs, we have no
doubt you would be as impressed as we were.
Shut 'Em Down 28-4 produces pigs with a lot of
bone, muscle, and great hip structure.
We no longer have this boar we purchased from
Parrish Farms, but we do have several sows from
him. In his time here at RNK, he produced some
fantastic commercial pigs that grew fast and had
loads of muscle.

Don't let the picture fool you!!!
BIG SHOT
X
Well, we're not professional photographers, and
winter is certainly not the best time to photograph a
boar, but we wanted pictures of him for the site.
BIG SHOT is one exciting boar! He was raised on
the fat lot where we were feeding a bean meal
based commercial feed, and he still reached 250
lbs in 147 days! This boar is very long and well
muscled. He has excellent athleticism, and he just
keeps growing. Our first litters from him will be born
in March and we are very excited. This guy will
make excellent pigs for the show ring as well as
fantastic replacement gilts.
X
One word describes this guy...MASSIVE. He is super
wide with huge bone and a big, powerful blade. He has
lots of muscle, but doesn't sacrifice structure. This boar
is sure to sire some champions next year.
X
Yep, another terrible picture, but you can see in the
video this is the smoothest moving, most athletic boar
your likely to find anywhere. Vader has fantastic natural
muscle expression. The deep groove along his top is
evident even though he has been on a 16% commercial
feed since he was 75lbs. This guy will also make some
noise in the fall of 2010.
DOUGHNUT
X
A littermate to Big Shot, Doughnut was also a fast
grower. Although his brother has more overall
mass, Doughnut is the stylish one. We have a
couple of really nice females out of this guy that are
sure to produce some great pigs.
